To become a Certified Inspector of the American Society of Home Inspectors (ASHI), inspectors must:

• Be an associate member at least 30 days.
• Perform inspections to ASHI standards of practice and code of ethics (available upon request)
• Maintain continuing education requirements
• Pass two 3-hour competency tests
• Completed at least 250 inspections
